Helping Oregon families with critically ill children. One crane at a time.
Helping Oregon families feel at home, even when they can’t be.
CraneAge helps families be with their critically ill children, by partnering with ChildLife to provide financial assistance for housing and travel expenses.
Our team collaborates with ChildLife Organization to support Oregon families, who not only have the hardship of having a child in critical care, but also struggle with the financial means to stay with their child during life altering treatments at one of the five major hospitals in Portland, OR.
Providing comfort to these families is possible.
In 2007 Patrice Demmon started to pour her heart into making origami cranes to sell for $1.00 each. She wanted to raise money for families with children in critical care. She discovered that the symbol of the crane brought peace and comfort to those who needed it most, thus CraneAge was born.
It all started with a crane
CraneAge’s fund comes from direct donation, merchandise sales and events. CraneAge provides gift cards for fuel, food and lodging which are then distributed by our ChildLife, Inc. partners at all five Portland hospitals. 100% of donations to CraneAge help us help families
